Why I Started Dini Ilm
The journey of Dini Ilm officially began in 2018, but the true inspiration came from a conversation that completely changed my perspective. A friend of mine from Arlington, Texas, called me with a real heaviness in his voice, expressing his fear that his children were losing their connection to Islam. He explained that because there were no local academies nearby, and due to the demands of their school life and the surrounding culture, it was incredibly hard to keep his kids connected to the Quran.
That sentence stayed with me because I realized it was not just his personal story, but the silent struggle of thousands of Muslim families living across the globe. I saw that parents want their children to succeed in the modern world, but they also desperately want them to stay deeply rooted in their Deen—to hear, understand, and love the Quran, even when they are thousands of miles away from a traditional Islamic environment.
This is why I built Dini Ilm: to bring the masjid directly into everyone's home by creating an institution families can trust. My vision and ultimate goal for every student is not just to teach them how to read the words of the Quran, but to help them and their families stay strongly connected to their faith.
