Every Quran teacher at Dini Ilm is a Hafiz or qualified scholar with verified credentials from recognized institutions such as Jamia Ashrafia Lahore and Al-Azhar University. Each holds an Ijazah — a certified authorization to teach the Quran — and specializes in one-on-one instruction for kids and adults.
What is an Ijazah?
Ijazah (إجازة) comes from the Arabic root meaning "to permit" or "to authorize." In Quranic education, an Ijazah is a formal certificate granted by a qualified scholar confirming that its holder has mastered recitation to the standard required to teach it — carried through an unbroken chain (Sanad) of transmission connecting back to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
In plain terms: an Ijazah is the difference between someone who can read the Quran and someone who is certified to teach it. Every teacher we hire is held to that standard.
How we vet every teacher
We hand-select our teachers. Fewer than 1 in 10 applicants make it through to your child's first lesson.
Credential verification
We confirm each teacher's Hifz, Dars-e-Nizami and Ijazah directly with the issuing institution before they join.
Live recitation test
Every teacher recites for our senior Qari, who assesses Tajweed accuracy and Makharij (articulation points) in real time.
Teaching demo
They teach a mock lesson to an English-speaking student — because knowing the Quran and teaching it clearly are two different skills.
